Day 17 -July 21 -Los Angeles

Views- Runyan Canyon
After breakfast at our gorgeous hotel we took a Lyft to Runyan Canyon.

Entrance - Runyan Canyon
We took the east trail which afforded views our LA, Hollywood Hills, the homes of the rich and famous, and the famous Hollywood sign.

The view is somewhat spoiled by smog, but still a good view.

Views from Sunset Boulevarde
After the hike, we caught a Lyft to Hollywood Blvd where we walked along taking in the glitz and glamour of tinsel town. The Walk of Fame, the hands, the Chinese and el-Capitan Theatres.

At lunch, we overheard a snake charmer who purported to provide the snakes for the film, Snakes on a Plane.

Walk of Fame
Marilyn Monroe

There were lots of snake charmers in the tourist areas and I guess there is a lot unusual niche industries that support Hollywood.
Our next stop was the wax museum.

Lobby - Normandie Hotel
Lobby- Normandie Hotel
We headed back to our hotel where I enjoyed a few Californian wines at the hotel's wine reception.

We had a nice dinner at Cassells on site before strolling through Koreatown.

We were impressed by this renaissance hotel.
